369 designs assists with building the stage for 2010 FIFA World Cup Final Draw

About the project

369 designs was commissioned by Just Sets to produce the stage infill pieces and light boxes of which De Wet Meyer from JDM Unlimited designed, the size of the stage was 1800 m². Just Sets who was the project managers on this project, built the stage substructure and 369 designs was responsible for building and supplying the infill pieces, steps and cladding for the stage. They also supplied the light boxes, whilst 369 graphics (sister company of 369 designs) was responsible for the graphics of the stage used for the 2010 FIFA World Cup Final Draw stage.

About the event

The 2010 FIFA World Cup Final Draw took place at the CTICC on Friday, 4 December 2009. The 2010 FIFA World Cup Final Draw was attended by 4000 people, consisting of 2000 VIP’s – soccer stars, international business delegates and FIFA guests alongside 2000 members of the media.

Charlize Theron was the co-host with Jerome Valcke (FIFA general secretary) at the event. Other dignitaries who attended the event included soccer star David Beckham, South African President Jacob Zuma, and Nobel Peace laureates Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Frederik W. de Klerk, whilst Johnny Clegg ran on a treadmill on the stage.
